I was recently reading on the power of kindness. Research suggests that when people practice loving-kindness meditation regularly (link is an example of one meditation), they start automatically reacting more positively to others and for themselves—and their social interactions and close relationships become more satisfying. Loving-kindness meditation primes your brain to seek compassion, even in yourself and others.. Now, I don't mean being kind just so you can feel better, but true intention of loving and being kind for the soul purpose of giving.
In this book, the author Pat Zietlow and Jen Hill mention ideas for being kind. Okay, its a story for children, but I find the best lessons are found in children's books.
